Graphs

The Graphs screen plots channel readings over time, up to four channels on one graph. Use it to see how a level, pressure or flow has changed over the last day, or over any period you pick.

Open a graph

There are three ways to get a graph on screen:

  • A saved graph: open the menu (☰), tap Graphs, then pick a graph from the list at the top (Select saved graph to load.). Until you pick one, the screen says Please select graph from the dropdown list.
  • From an HMI widget: on an HMI screen, tap a widget, then tap Trend graphs (the blue chart icon). The graph shows the widget's channels. See HMI screens.
  • From a channel: on the Devices screen, expand a device and tap the blue graph icon on a channel. See Devices.

A graph opened from a widget or a channel is new and not saved yet. It is named after the widget or channel.

Read the graph

  • The coloured dots under the date bar are the legend: one colour per channel.
  • Each channel has its own scale, labelled with the device and channel name.
  • Touch and hold on the chart to show the values of every line at that moment.
  • Pinch to zoom in on part of the graph, and drag to move along it.

Change the time range

A graph opens showing the last 24 hours.

  1. Tap the grey bar that shows Start: and End:.
  2. Choose the start and end dates and times in the picker.
  3. Tap Close. The graph reloads for the new period.

Change which channels are shown

  1. Tap the orange gear next to the graph name (Configure series for this trend graph). The Edit Trend Graph dialog opens.
  2. Change the graph as needed:
    • Graph Name: the name shown in the saved-graph list.
    • Under Series Included In Graph, tap + to add a channel (up to four).
    • For each Series, pick the Device and Channel, and tap the colour to choose a different line colour.
    • Tap X on a series to remove it (Delete this series). A graph always keeps at least one series.
  3. Tap Save to apply the changes to the graph on screen, or Close to discard them.

Save in this dialog does not store the graph for later. To keep it, save it as described next.

Note

The dialog also shows View Role and Edit Role. In this version, changes to these two lists are not saved. A graph started from an HMI widget or channel takes its roles from the HMI screen you were on.

Save a graph

Tap the green disk icon next to the graph name (Save this trend graph for future viewing). The message Graph configuration successfully saved. confirms it, and the graph appears in the saved-graph list.

Saving needs the account's Create HMI role (see Roles and permissions). Without it, the save fails.

Warning

Every save adds a new entry to the saved-graph list, even when you opened the graph from that list. To avoid duplicates, save a graph once, when you have finished setting it up.

The time range is not saved with the graph. Saved graphs always open on the last 24 hours.

Note

An asterisk (*) after the graph name is meant to show unsaved changes. In this version it stays visible even after you save.

There is no way to delete a saved graph in the app.
